CHETAN BHAGAT is one of India’s most popular authors with a wide readership among young people. And he is an influencer for his thought-provoking take on society. But Chetan Bhagat has come a long way from being a management graduate from IIM-A. He tried not only his hands at writing books, but also made a name for himself through the stories he tells.

He became a much-loved writer from his first book of the seven, he wrote till date. But little did people, least of all his parents, know about this hidden facet of his talent. Quitting his international investment banking career in 2009 was a major turning point in his life. Unsettling a settled career was the big leap of faith he took to find himself. He is USA’s one of the world’s ‘100 most creative people in business’. His books offer the most enjoyable read for the youth. And India’s biggest business hub Bollywood laps up every opportunity to turn his books into scripts for their million grosser movies.


His books include mostly novels Five Point Someone (2004), One Night @ the Call Center (2005), The 3 Mistakes of My Life (2008), 2 States (2009), Revolution 2020 (2011), the non-fiction title what Young India Wants (2012), Half Girlfriend (2014) One Indian Girl (2016). Four of his novels are successful Bollywood films, and the others are in the proofs of being adapted as well. His varied creative personality also allows him to be a scriptwriter.
