Asha Bhonsle is Veteran playback singer. Younger sister of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar. Recipient of the prestigious Dadasheb Phalke Award for 2000. Also awarded Padma Vibhushan for 2008. Her album Prceious Platinum has made it to Amazon.com 100 Greatest World Music albums.

Dola Banerjee

Dola Banerjee , Ace Indian woman archer won the second international gold medal of her career when she bagged the individual recurve title of the fourth leg of the Meteksan World Cup Archery at Dover on August 5, 2007. She also clinched the gold Medal in women’s individual recurve competition at world cup archery final, dubai in November 2007. Dola was honoured with Padma shri in 2008.

Mr. Salil Bhatt

Mr. Salil Bhatt, the creator of Satvik Veena, hit the headlines when he was nominated for the Juno Award on march 9, 2010. This award is known to be Canazdian equivalent of the Grammys. Mr. Bhatt received the nomination for his international album “Slide to Freedom-2” in the Best World Music Album Category.

Anousheh AnsariIran

Anousheh AnsariIran, born US entrepreneur, became on September 18, 2006, the first woman space tourist to make a voyage to the International Space Station (ISS). She reached ISS aboard a Russian soyuz TMA-9 capsule, along with two other cosmonauts. She was the fourth paying tourist to the ISS.

 The United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Candidate, was elected the 12th Vice-President of India on August 10, 2007, In a triangular contest, he won with a comfortable margin, securing 455 votes out of the 762 votes polled. Mr. Ansari earlier served as an officer with the Indian Foreign Service.

Arjun Atwal

This Asansol-born golfer has become the first from India and the sixth from Asia to win a US PGA tour event. His name was included in the record books in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA on August 23, 2010 when he topped in the Wyndham championship. He was named Asian Golfer of the Year on February 1, 2004.
